A ranking tournament in sports wrestling has started in Albania, as reported on the United World Wrestling (UWW) website.
In the final matches for medals, two Kyrgyzstani wrestlers will compete: Ernazar Akmataliev (70 kg category) and Orozobek Toktomambetov (74 kg category).
Orozobek will face a Georgian athlete, while Ernazar will battle against a representative from Kazakhstan.
Toktomambetov reached the finals by defeating wrestlers from Azerbaijan and the USA. In the decisive match, he will meet an Iranian.
Akmataliev, in his previous bouts, demonstrated superiority over Russian and Moldovan athletes, and for the gold, he will compete against an American.
Another Kyrgyzstani, Zalkarbek Tabaldiev, was unable to reach the finals, losing to a wrestler from the USA in the semifinals, and will now compete for the bronze medal.
