Orozobek Toktomambetov defeated Yoshinosuke Aoyagi at the tournament in Bishkek

At the international wrestling tournament in Bishkek, which took place on February 13 at the "Zhashtyk Arena," Kyrgyzstani Orozobek Toktomambetov won a bronze medal, taking third place.

Toktomambetov competed in the weight category up to 74 kg, where only four athletes participated.

In the semifinals, he faced David Baev from Russia, who is the current champion of Europe and the world in 2019. After a tense six-minute match, the Russian emerged victorious with a score of 4:1.

In the match for third place, Toktomambetov met Yoshinosuke Aoyagi, the reigning world champion in the weight category up to 70 kg from Japan. The Kyrgyz athlete secured a confident victory, finishing the match with a score of 8:0 and winning the bronze medal.

Additionally, Toktomambetov received a cash prize of $3000.

In the 57 kg category, the championship title was won by Bekzat Almaz uulu.
