Zalkarbek Tabaldiev won gold at the tournament in Turkey

Zalkarbek Tabaldiev, representing Kyrgyzstan, won the international wrestling tournament held in Turkey.

The Yasar Dogu 2026 competition concluded on January 11 in Antalya.

Tabaldiev began his performances in the 70 kg weight category from the 1/8 finals.

The champion of Kyrgyzstan, after achieving three consecutive victories over Turkish wrestlers, advanced to the final, where his opponent was Islam Dudayev, the bronze medalist of the Paris Olympic Games, representing Albania.

The final match ended with a score of 7:4 in favor of Tabaldiev, earning him the title of tournament winner.

Also in this weight category, Rustam Kakharo won a bronze medal, taking third place.
