Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov, the goalkeeper of the Kyrgyzstan U-23 football team, shared his impressions after the match against the Saudi Arabian national team.

The match, which was the first in the group stage of the Asian Cup, took place on January 6 in Jeddah and ended with a 1:0 victory for the hosts.

The key moment of the match was the red card shown to Arsen Sharshenbekov in the 34th minute, and in the 77th minute, Nurlanbekov successfully saved a penalty.

After the final whistle, the goalkeeper answered questions from the journalist of "Kyrgyz Sport TV," Adilet Kerimbekov.

- How do you assess the game?

- It was a tough game. The refereeing decisions, in my opinion, affected the result. The red card was unexpected for us; up until that moment, we were playing quite well. I think this circumstance changed the course of the match.

- What were the tasks before the game, and how did the plan change after the player's dismissal?

- We approached the match with excellent preparation and the intention to win; our mindset was combative. However, after the dismissal, we had to change our tactics and focus on defense and counterattacks.

- How will the preparation for the next games be conducted?

- We will do everything possible in the remaining matches to earn 6 points.
