Bakytt Torobaev urged farmers to abandon non-pedigree livestock

- On February 11, 2026, during a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev addressed farmers with a recommendation to refrain from breeding non-pedigree livestock.

He noted that farmers have the opportunity to obtain a loan for the purchase of pedigree livestock at an interest rate of 3% per annum.

“By purchasing one pedigree cow instead of two non-pedigree ones, it is possible to significantly increase the volume of milk and profit,” he emphasized.

In addition, the head of the Cabinet reported that for those who do not wish to take out a loan, there is an opportunity to receive pedigree livestock semen for free for further breeding.

Currently, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring field and economic activities of 2026 in the country was also discussed.
