The largest contribution to the overall growth of the construction industry came from the city of Bishkek, where construction volumes increased by 19.7%. In this region, the activity was driven by the construction of multi-story residential buildings, roads, power supply lines, and the gasification of residential areas.
It is also worth noting significant growth in the following regions:
- Chui Region — an increase of 54.9%
- Jalal-Abad Region — an increase of 38.3%
- City of Osh — an increase of 23.1%
- Issyk-Kul Region — an increase of 15.1%
- Talas Region — an increase of 0.8%
However, some regions showed a decrease in construction volumes:
- Batken Region — a decrease of 19.6%
- Naryn Region — a decrease of 2.7%
- Osh Region — a decrease of 1.2%
The construction sector contributed 1.62 percentage points to the overall gross domestic product (GDP), and its share in the structure of GDP production was 8.7%.
