At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, which took place on February 25, 2026, deputy Ilimbek Kubanychbekov expressed concern regarding the export of agricultural products. He noted that the labor of farmers, especially those involved in cotton cultivation, remains undervalued. "Farmers face difficulties in exporting their products abroad and cannot sell them at a fair price in the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan," the deputy emphasized.

Additionally, Kubanychbekov appealed for the provision of preferential loans for farmers so that they could successfully carry out the sowing campaign and avoid financial losses. This statement was made against the backdrop of the discussion regarding the candidacy of Erlis Akunbekov for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
