In response, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Minister of Agriculture Erlis Akunbekov noted that the issue of water is significant not only for the ministry but also requires a comprehensive state approach.
In response, the deputy stated that she considers the establishment of a separate ministry to be reasonable, as the current system does not adequately address the problems related to water supply, irrigation, and land reclamation in the regions.
This issue was raised during the discussion of Erlis Akunbekov's candidacy for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
