The main goal of the document is to provide free and unrestricted access to information about registered objects in EAEU states:
- trademarks,
- service marks,
- geographical indications,
- designations of origin of goods.
According to the terms of the agreement:
- The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will take on the creation and maintenance of the search service, which will be hosted on the EAEU information portal;
- users will be able to conduct a unified search for industrial property objects protected in the Union countries;
- information will be regularly exchanged through the integrated information system of the EAEU;
- access to search and data retrieval will be free and open;
- search results will be generated automatically based on user queries.
The authorities authorized by the EAEU member states are obliged to:
- ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of the transmitted data;
- provide information in accordance with the common directories and classifiers of the Union.
- The Eurasian Economic Commission will also be responsible for:
- the preservation of information,
- the creation of a common information resource,
- preventing distortions in the transmitted data.
The technical requirements and operational rules of the service will be approved by the EEC Board within three months after the agreement comes into force.
The First Deputy Prime Minister has been authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of Kyrgyzstan with the right to make non-essential changes.
The agreement will come into force after all necessary domestic procedures are completed by all EAEU member states and notifications are sent to the depository — the Eurasian Economic Commission.
