- During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 19, 2026, deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov noted that residents of the Kara-Kuldzhinsky district are experiencing a shortage in the established daily electricity consumption limit.

He called for the need to set limits taking into account the specifics of each district and its climatic conditions.

Deputy Minister of Energy Nasipbek Kerimov, in response, stated that the limits are determined by the Scientific Institute under the Ministry of Energy, which analyzes all the features of the area.

If citizens are dissatisfied with the established limits, they can contact this institute directly.

The meeting also discussed the draft Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Electric Power Industry," which is planned to be submitted for the first reading.
