Junushaliev: 2026 should be a year of significant changes for Bishkek







In Bishkek, a meeting of the city hall board took place, during which the results of the socio-economic development of the capital for 2025 were reviewed and tasks for 2026 were defined. The event was chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers and head of the president's administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the city hall, the mayor of the city, Aibek Junushaliev, presented the key goals for the city hall for 2026.

He noted that Bishkek continues to develop, and the city faces new challenges that need to be overcome. "2026 should be a time of significant changes and improvements for our capital. We need to create a modern, beautiful, safe, and comfortable city that its residents can be proud of," the mayor added.

Junushaliev also noted that all these plans and achievements have become possible thanks to the coordinated work of the city hall team, which includes about 18,000 employees who take care of cleanliness and order, as well as the uninterrupted operation of communal and social infrastructure on a daily basis.

"Our main task is the development of the city and the creation of comfortable conditions for all its residents. I am confident that together we can implement ambitious projects that will make Bishkek a modern and convenient city to live in," concluded the mayor.
