Erlis Akunbekov: The Aircraft Fleet of Kyrgyzstan is Being Reinforced with New Airplanes

At the republican meeting, Erlis Akunbekov, Deputy Head of Government and Minister of Water Management and Rural Development, shared news about the state of the country's aviation industry.

He reported that three new airplanes were purchased using the airports' own funds for a total of 2 billion 385 million soms.

“In the near future, we plan to replenish the fleet with the Q400 model, as well as acquire two Airbus A321s. A total of 8 billion 400 million soms has been allocated for the modernization of airport infrastructure,” Akunbekov added.

Additionally, he noted that currently, 11 certified airports are successfully operating in the country.
