Changes in weather conditions are expected in Kyrgyzstan on March 10 and 11, according to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.
On March 10, rain and snow are possible in different regions, especially in the foothills and mountainous areas, where snowfall is expected. Snowfall is also forecasted for March 11, with significant precipitation possible in some places. There is a likelihood of wet snow sticking to wires and trees. Winds from the west may reach speeds of 15-20 m/s, and up to 24 m/s over the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul.
Nighttime temperatures on March 11 and 12 are expected to be below zero:
- in the Chui Valley: −8…−13° at night, −1…−6° during the day;
- in the Talas Valley: −8…−13° at night, −2…−7° during the day;
- in the valleys of Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions: −4…−9° at night, from −1° to +4° during the day;
- in the Issyk-Kul basin: −7…−12° at night, from −3° to +2° during the day;
- in the agricultural areas of Naryn region: −11…−16° at night, −2…−7° during the day;
- in the foothills of the country: −10…−15° at night, −2…−7° during the day;
- in the mountains: −11…−16° at night, −8…−13° during the day;
- in the Suusamyr Valley: −17…−22° at night, −8…−13° during the day;
- in high-altitude areas: −23…−28° at night, up to −6…−11° during the day.
