The city hall of Bishkek invites everyone to join the celebration of one of the most joyful and anticipated holidays — Nowruz.
According to information from the municipality, on March 21, a large festive event dedicated to the spring equinox will take place at the main Ala-Too square. From 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, a rich and vibrant program will be presented, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of traditions, culture, and spring mood.
Throughout the day, the square will become the center of cultural events and folk traditions. Ethnocultural yurts "Ordo" will be set up on the territory, where representatives of various ethnic groups of the Kyrgyz Republic will invite guests to learn about their national customs, lifestyle, and hospitality.
A special area will also be organized for those interested, where national games and sports competitions will take place, allowing everyone to feel the spirit of Kyrgyz traditions and participate in the contests.
In addition, there will be exhibitions of applied and folk art in the square, where masters from all corners of the country will present their unique creations — from national jewelry to felt products and carpets, as well as souvenirs and items of traditional craftsmanship.
The celebration will conclude with a grand concert featuring popular artists and creative groups, where both national melodies and modern compositions will be performed, along with vibrant dance numbers.
