During his visit, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Damir Osmonov, familiarized himself with the state of medical infrastructure in the Kemin district of Chui region. He checked the progress of construction works and the availability of modern medical equipment at the Primary Care Center. According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the minister also inspected the new maternity hospital, which will have 50 beds.

The building, with a total area of 2,220 square meters, will consist of four floors. Currently, work is ongoing, and the structure has already reached the third floor, where active monolithic work is taking place.

The project includes the placement of various departments on the floors: the first floor will house the reception and gynecology departments, ultrasound diagnostics and colposcopy offices, as well as a discharge block. The operating block and two delivery rooms will be located on the second floor, while the third floor will accommodate the neonatal pathology department and the gynecology department, each of which will have separate sanitary facilities. The issue of equipping the maternity hospital with modern medical equipment is also being considered.

In addition, the minister familiarized himself with the process of transforming the building of the former infectious disease department into a dormitory for medical workers. Eight apartments with necessary amenities will be created, and the funding for the works is being provided through the Kemin district development fund in the amount of about 18 million soms. The total area of the new dormitory will be 1,450 square meters, which will help improve living conditions for medical staff and address staffing shortages.

As part of the visit, the minister also checked the clinical diagnostic laboratory, which was equipped with modern equipment received through JICA. The laboratory includes biochemical and hematological analyzers, hormone determination devices, centrifuges, and other equipment. All research results are integrated into a digital system: data is automatically transmitted to the "ILab" system and displayed in the electronic outpatient card of the patient at "Sanarip clinic".

The minister also visited the radiology room, where both stationary and mobile digital X-ray machines are used, and the intensive care unit, equipped with two artificial ventilation machines received from JICA, as well as their bedside monitors.

During the meeting with the leadership of the Primary Care Center, current issues were raised, including the shortage of medical personnel. Currently, steps are being taken to improve conditions for attracting specialists, such as the construction of a dormitory for medical workers.

The minister also inspected the building of the old maternity hospital, where the option of major repairs was previously discussed, for which about 100 million soms were allocated. Following the inspection, the minister instructed to conduct an additional study of the condition of the building and the feasibility of repairs.
