Late detection of severe diseases remains one of the main problems in healthcare
Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov visited a leading private laboratory, where he familiarized himself with its organization, logistics processes, quality control, and the implementation of digital technologies at all stages of research. During the visit, the minister instructed to develop a project for the creation of a modern state laboratory in Bishkek, the Ministry of Health reports.
As part of the planned reform, a comprehensive project will be developed with unified standards, modern equipment, digital tools, and efficient logistics.
The main focus will be on the quality of research and interaction with medical institutions.
The working trip was aimed at studying best practices that will be taken into account when creating the state laboratory system. The main goal is to accelerate and improve the accuracy of diagnostics for patients.
According to Dosmambetov, one of the pressing issues in healthcare remains the late detection of severe diseases, particularly malignant tumors.
Patients often seek medical help only at stages III–IV of the disease, which is associated with insufficient accessibility and development of laboratory diagnostics.
“This leads to a loss of time and reduces the chances of successful treatment. A correct diagnosis is half the battle. For timely detection of diseases, the country needs a strong laboratory base,” he noted.
The project includes the construction of a laboratory from scratch, which will be equipped with modern diagnostic equipment and its own logistics system, as well as a digital platform for processing medical data.
In addition, it is planned to create a network of regional subdivisions that will be integrated into a unified system with the central laboratory.
The new model will allow for shorter analysis turnaround times, increased accuracy of results, and simplified data exchange between laboratories and clinics, the ministry emphasizes.
