The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan held an online meeting with Kyrgyz doctors working abroad

Recently, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan held an online meeting involving Kyrgyz medical professionals working abroad in countries such as Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia, and the Middle East. The meeting was led by Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The main goal of this event was to exchange experiences, discuss global practices in medicine, as well as to prepare personnel and digitize the healthcare system. Additionally, the possibilities for the involvement of specialists abroad in the development of the medical sector in Kyrgyzstan were considered.

During the discussion, participants shared their experiences working in international medical institutions and proposed a number of initiatives to improve healthcare in the country. Their suggestions included the implementation of modern technologies such as bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, the development of digital solutions, as well as the enhancement of assistance in the fields of oncology, pulmonology, transplantology, and anesthesiology. Issues related to hemodialysis, mobile clinics, simplification of licensing, and training of medical personnel were also raised.

The staffing aspect became one of the key topics of discussion. Participants expressed their willingness to assist in training Kyrgyz specialists, organizing internships, conducting lectures, and providing expert reports. Furthermore, they discussed the need to create conditions for specialists to return to their home country and participate in professional projects.

The deputy ministers noted that attracting foreign specialists is viewed as an important resource for the development of the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan. They emphasized that the Ministry will actively create platforms for experience exchange, including both in-person and online meetings in countries where Kyrgyz doctors work. Opportunities for participation in the Mirrahimov Readings and in reforms in the field of digitization and staffing were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Bakytbek Kadyraliev conveyed words of gratitude to the participants on behalf of the Minister of Health Kanybek Dosmambetov, emphasizing that the state is interested in maintaining professional ties with compatriots abroad. He noted that the shortage of medical personnel is one of the main problems for the country and expressed readiness for cooperation to attract the necessary knowledge and technologies in the interests of patients. "We are open to finding practical solutions," he added.

The Ministry of Health reports that meetings of this format will be held on a regular basis.
