Kyrgyz doctors from Europe and the USA are ready to participate in the development of healthcare in the Kyrgyz Republic

An online meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with Kyrgyz doctors working in countries such as Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia, and Middle Eastern states.

According to the ministry, the meeting was organized under the leadership of Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov.

The main goal of this event was to discuss the exchange of professional experience, international practices in medicine, training of medical personnel, and digitalization in healthcare, as well as the possibility of involving Kyrgyz citizens abroad in the development of the local healthcare system.

During the discussion, participants shared their experiences working in leading clinics around the world and proposed ideas for improving national healthcare. Key aspects included the implementation of modern technologies such as bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, as well as digital solutions, the development of oncology, pulmonology, transplantology, and anesthesiology services, issues related to hemodialysis and mobile clinics, simplification of licensing, and training of doctors.

Many proposals addressed staffing issues. Participants expressed their readiness to assist in training Kyrgyz specialists, organize internships, conduct lectures and expert reports, as well as attract professors for surgeries and master classes. Conditions for the return of medical professionals to Kyrgyzstan and participation in professional projects were also discussed.

The deputy ministers noted that the Ministry considers attracting foreign specialists as an important resource for improving the healthcare system in the country and will create platforms for further exchange of experience. Among the proposed measures are the organization of in-person and online meetings in countries with a high concentration of Kyrgyz doctors, the opportunity to participate in the Mirakhimov Readings, as well as involvement in reforms in digitalization and staffing.
In conclusion, Bakytbek Kadyraliev expressed gratitude to the participants on behalf of the Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov, emphasizing that the state is interested in supporting professional ties with Kyrgyz citizens abroad. “The shortage of medical personnel remains one of the main problems in the country. We are open to cooperation and will seek practical solutions to attract experience, knowledge, and technologies in the interests of our patients,” he stated.

Such meetings are planned to be held regularly. The Ministry of Health will continue its work to create conditions for the participation of foreign specialists in scientific, educational, and clinical activities, including internship programs, expert support, and repatriation of medical personnel.
