On January 26, an online conference was held at the Ministry of Health, gathering Kyrgyz citizens working in the medical field abroad, including in Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia, and Middle Eastern countries. The press service of the Ministry of Health reported on this event.

The meeting was led by Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov. The main goal of the discussion was to exchange experiences, analyze international medical practices, prepare personnel, and promote digitalization in healthcare, as well as to explore ways for compatriots abroad to participate in improving the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan.

Conference participants shared their achievements in leading foreign clinics and proposed ideas for improving the medical sector in Kyrgyzstan. Various aspects were discussed, such as the implementation of new technologies, including bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, the development of digital solutions, as well as the enhancement of oncological, pulmonary, transplant, and anesthesiology assistance. Issues related to hemodialysis, mobile clinics, streamlining licensing, and training medical personnel were also addressed.

Many proposals concerned staffing issues. Specialists expressed their readiness to assist in training Kyrgyz doctors, organizing internships, conducting lectures and expert reports, as well as attracting professors for surgeries and master classes. Ways to create conditions for specialists to return to Kyrgyzstan and participate in professional projects were also discussed.

The deputy ministers emphasized that the participation of doctors from abroad is an important resource for the development of medicine. Among the proposed measures are holding in-person and online meetings in countries with a high concentration of Kyrgyz doctors, the possibility of speaking at the Mirrahimov Readings, and active participation in digital and staffing reforms.

In conclusion, Bakytbek Kadyraliev thanked the participants on behalf of the Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmametov, noting that the state is interested in maintaining professional ties with compatriots working abroad.

“One of the main problems in medicine is the shortage of personnel. We are open to cooperation and will seek practical solutions to attract experience, knowledge, and technologies in the interests of our patients,” he added.
