Kyrgyzstan: Personnel Changes from December 29 to January 2

Last week, several significant personnel changes took place in Kyrgyzstan.

Temirbek Erkinov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Health.


He replaced Nurgul Adnaeva, who held this position since April 2025.

Now, Temirbek Erkinov will be responsible for digitalization in the healthcare sector.

Previously, he served as an assistant to Akylbek Japarov and headed the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. He was also the honorary consul of Bangladesh in Kyrgyzstan. In May 2023, he was detained in Bishkek on suspicion of corruption, but was released two weeks later.

Ayaz Bayetov's powers as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers have been extended.


He will now also coordinate the interaction of government agencies to enhance efficiency and simplify the public administration system. His powers will remain in effect until July 1, 2026.

It is worth noting that in March 2025, Ayaz Bayetov was appointed as the director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives (NISI), while retaining the status of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers until October 1 of this year. NISI will be responsible for coordinating reforms in public administration.

Shumkarbek Adilbek uulu has been appointed as the new director of NISI.


He previously held this position as Ayaz Bayetov. Shumkarbek Adilbek uulu was born on February 19, 1986, and graduated from the Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy. He has held various positions, including assistant to a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh and director of the Agency for the Protection and Promotion of Investments in Kyrgyzstan.

Ruslan Rakhimov has become the rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.


Prior to this, he taught and held administrative positions at the American University of Central Asia, worked at the National Academy of Sciences, and collaborated with international academic institutions.

Kaldarbek Marup uulu has been appointed as the artistic director of the Osh Philharmonic.


His appointment comes with a three-month probation period.

Kaldarbek Marup uulu, born in 1997, graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Osh State University. Since 2019, he has been working at the Osh Philharmonic, focusing on music and arrangements, and has also served as a conductor.

He is the founder and producer of the folk-pop group Aalam and actively participates in national and international festivals, as well as being the author of numerous musical works.
