The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has announced plans to create a unified system of state laboratories.

On January 23, Health Minister Kanibek Dosmambetov visited one of the leading private laboratories, where he learned about the organization of diagnostics, logistical processes, quality control mechanisms, and modern digital solutions.

According to him, the current laboratory service system does not meet modern requirements, which creates obstacles for the population in obtaining timely and accurate tests, especially in cases where early diagnosis of oncological diseases and other pathologies requiring immediate detection is necessary.

The minister noted that one of the key problems in healthcare is the late diagnosis of serious diseases, such as cancer, when patients often seek help at stages 3-4 of the illness. In his opinion, this is related to the insufficient effectiveness of the laboratory diagnostics system. “A correctly established diagnosis is half the success in treatment. For timely and reliable detection of diseases, the country needs a powerful laboratory base,” he emphasized.
