According to the press service of the presidential envoy in the Osh region, high-ranking guests attended the opening ceremony, including envoy Amankan Kenjebayev and First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov, as well as representatives of the city administration and the medical community.
Amankan Kenjebayev noted that in addition to improving the material and technical base, efforts are actively being made to create decent conditions for healthcare workers, enhance their qualifications, and increase their salaries by up to 100%.
The major renovation affected many departments, including "Mother and Child," the surgical block, intensive care units for adults and children, the pregnancy pathology department, centralized sterilization, the clinical diagnostic laboratory, and the outpatient diagnostic department. A centralized oxygen station costing 3,855,700 soms was also installed.
Funding for the new maternity hospital was provided from the state budget, with the total tender cost of the two-story building amounting to 87,900,000 soms. The facility is equipped with modern technologies, allowing for the provision of quality medical care to the population.
At the opening site, Kenjebayev familiarized himself with the infrastructure and technical equipment of the updated hospital.
It should be noted that the regional maternity hospital in Osh was opened on April 11, 1968, and this is the first major renovation since then.
