Recently, high-ranking officials familiarized themselves with the progress of construction on key infrastructure projects located on the approach to Manas Airport. The Western bus station and the new Osh market, located near the village of Prigorodnoye, are scheduled to open in May of this year.
Present at the construction site were Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, Mayor of the capital Aibek Junushaliev, and the President's Chief of Staff Kanaybek Tumanbaev.

Kanaybek Tumanbaev reported that both facilities are planned to be launched before the SCO summit, which will take place in Bishkek in August 2026.
Construction of the new Osh market
Construction work is actively continuing at the site of the new Osh market. This major trading facility in the region is already beginning to take shape, and according to builders' forecasts, its opening will take place this year.

The head of the construction site, Talant Kerimkulov, reported that the total area of the market is 155,000 square meters, of which 20,000 are allocated for warehouses and 50,000 for trading areas. A green market with a canopy and an underground parking lot for 500 cars are also planned.
According to him, one of the most challenging tasks during construction was dealing with groundwater, but this problem was resolved at the initial stage.
During the work process, when we started, water was coming up at a depth of two meters. We created a double drainage system and replaced the poor soil with more suitable material, using a drainage installation method based on Azerbaijan's example.

He also added that about 500 workers are involved in the construction of the new Osh market, and between 20 to 30 units of construction equipment are used daily. The work is being carried out in stages, adhering to all technical standards.

Builders reported that in blocks No. 1–5, the monolithic construction work has been completed, and engineering networks are currently being laid. In the green market (block No. 6), the installation of metal structures is nearing completion, while roofing and finishing work continues in sections No. 6–8, 10–11, and 15–20. Engineering networks in some sections are already almost fully completed, and glazing is ongoing.
Three wells have been drilled on the site, and the drainage work is in the final stages.
However, work on the water supply and sewage systems, as well as landscaping, has not yet begun.
Builders are confident that the launch of the market this year will be an important step for the development of urban infrastructure and will create comfortable conditions for entrepreneurs and buyers.
The future of the bus station: current status and prospects
At the construction site of the new bus station, work is ongoing around the clock without a minute's pause. One of the largest infrastructure projects in the city is being created here.
The head of the construction site, Sultanbek Turganbaev, reported that the construction of the bus station began on February 12 of last year.
The total area of the bus station is about 30,000 square meters.
According to him, a drainage system was planned at the design stage, which helped avoid problems with groundwater at the site.

Currently, all monolithic work has been completed. Builders are focused on internal and engineering work: electrical installation is underway, water supply and sewage systems are being laid, heating and ventilation are being installed. Fire alarm systems are also being installed, and tiles are being laid.
Outside the building, 80% of the roofing work has been completed, and the installation of panoramic windows, which give the complex a modern look, is ongoing.
The project is being implemented by OsOO "Kyrgyzstroyservice," with OsOO "Kurulush kompani" as the contractor.
“The new bus station consists of nine blocks. Five of them make up the main building of the station, while the other blocks are designated for the platform and side canopies,” explained the head of construction.
According to him, the new bus station will provide all conditions for the convenience of passengers and residents: waiting rooms, a hotel, and food outlets. The adjacent territory will have 50–60 parking spaces for buses.
