The press service of the Ministry of Health commented on the situation at the Osh Interregional Children's Clinical Hospital (OMDKB), where a video showing a long queue in the clinical diagnostic department appeared on social media.

According to the hospital director, Zhyrgalbek Tolorov, such situations are usually observed after weekends and holidays when the number of requests for outpatient care sharply increases. For example, today there were 600 outpatient visits registered, while the day before, on January 12, this number was around 800 children.

Despite the workload, the organization has sufficient resources for scheduled admissions: there are 18 doctors' offices, three registration desks, two cashiers, and two terminals available. In the morning, queues do form at the registration desks to obtain tickets, but by 11:00 AM, the situation stabilizes, and the queues significantly decrease.
As the director noted, one of the problems is that many parents come to the hospital without referrals from local doctors in family medicine centers. The Osh Interregional Children's Clinical Hospital is a tertiary-level institution, and its clinical diagnostic department is not intended for primary visits without prior routing.
At the same time, the institution has specialized services such as a trauma center, ENT department, surgery, intensive care, and others, which allows for effective distribution of patients to the relevant departments.

Zhyrgalbek Tolorov also noted that despite the high workload, doctors continue to provide assistance to all children who seek medical help.

The Ministry of Health urges parents to follow the routing process and consult their local pediatricians at the family medicine centers, which will help avoid long queues and ensure timely referrals to the necessary specialists.
