The decline in the incidence of influenza and ARVI continues in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

A meeting of the headquarters dedicated to the situation with ARVI and influenza was held at the agency headed by Minister Kanaybek Dosmambetov.

According to data from the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, the country is witnessing a decrease in the number of registered cases compared to previous periods. In particular, at the end of 2025, there were 15,043 cases of ARVI and influenza registered, from December 29, 2025, to January 4, 2026 — 9,490 cases, and from January 5 to January 8, 2026 — 6,745 cases.

The epidemiological situation remains under control overall, with monitoring continuing in various regions of the country.

Some heads of children's hospitals and health care coordinators noted that part of the burden on hospitals is related to citizens seeking help directly, bypassing the primary care level. On weekends and holidays, all Family Medicine Centers across the country operate in duty mode and accept patients.

Kanaybek Dosmambetov instructed the need to improve the sorting and routing of patients in the FMC for more effective distribution of the flow between different levels of medical care.

The minister also emphasized the importance of activating sanitary-educational work and interacting with the media to clarify the routes for seeking help and preventive measures against seasonal infections.
