The First Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aibek Matkerimov, made a working trip to the Jalal-Abad and Osh regions, during which he visited the infectious diseases hospital of the Osh City Clinical Hospital. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the organization of medical care for patients with acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, as well as to analyze the occupancy of hospital beds against the backdrop of rising morbidity during the season.
During his inspection, the hospital director, Shayat Abdurakhmanov, reported that the hospital has a capacity of 270 beds, of which 180 are designated for children and the rest for adults. In light of the increased number of patient visits, the medical staff ensures the full provision of necessary medical assistance.
It is also worth noting that in recent years, including as a result of the administrative-territorial reform, the area and population of the city of Osh have increased, which, in turn, creates additional pressure on medical institutions and leads to high occupancy rates in hospitals.
Following the visit, Aibek Matkerimov issued a number of instructions, including the organization of adult patient admissions in alternative departments, as well as maximizing the use of the infectious diseases hospital to assist children, who are the most vulnerable group during seasonal infections.
Additionally, it was instructed to strengthen compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, develop a clear routing for patients, ensure the uninterrupted operation of medical staff, and monitor the quality of services provided.
