The world's first 6-ton tiltrotor aircraft made its flight in China


The Lanying R6000 tiltrotor aircraft successfully made its debut flight in the Chinese province of Sichuan, as reported by "Xinhua".

The device has a cruising speed of 550 km/h and can cover distances of up to 4000 km, which is four times the capabilities of conventional helicopters. Additionally, it can ascend to an altitude of 7620 m, which is twice that of traditional helicopters.

According to Global Times, the Lanying R6000 is designed for transporting and delivering cargo to remote areas, including mountainous regions and maritime zones. It is expected that the tiltrotor will be used for emergency medical assistance, rescue operations, firefighting, and patrolling.

This tiltrotor has become the first in the world with a weight of 6 tons.

It is anticipated that it will find applications in various fields, including rescue operations, firefighting, and patrolling.
