This information was provided by Kulai Kalpetakhunova, the deputy director of the local hospital.
According to her data, from January 1 to January 7, 16 babies were born in the maternity ward of the Jayil Territorial Hospital.
"On New Year's night, January 1, three children were born at once. The next day, January 2, there were no births, but starting from January 3, three newborns appeared each day," Kalpetakhunova reported.
She added that, despite the holiday season, not only on-duty medical staff but also all necessary specialists are working in the hospital departments.
"In addition, over the last three days, there has been an increase in cases of ARVI, especially among children. During this period, 18 cases with symptoms of the disease have been registered in the district, of which 14 are among children. At this moment, 297 patients are receiving treatment in the district hospital," the deputy director noted.
