Relatives demand an investigation into the circumstances of the doctor's death
In Bishkek, Dr. Aigul Zibirova, a resuscitation doctor at the City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital, tragically passed away. This sad news became known through messages from her colleagues on social media.
Aigul worked in the toxicology and resuscitation department.
“She was on duty on the night of December 31, and on January 2, information about her death was received,” hospital representatives reported.
Meanwhile, Aigul's sister addressed the public through social media.
“My sister, a resuscitation-anesthesiologist in Children's Intensive Care Unit No. 3 and a lecturer at Slavic University, passed away on the night of January 1 to 2, 2026. She was a wonderful person who tirelessly learned and developed while saving the lives of others. She was an outstanding specialist devoted to her work,” she noted.
According to the official conclusion, the cause of death was asphyxia; however, the details leading to this remain unclear and raise many questions for the family.
Aigul was known as a strong and responsible individual who fought daily for the lives of children, working in difficult conditions and living her profession.
Could she have found herself in a situation leading to asphyxia willingly?
That night, Duyshon, a person she had previously separated from, was with her. He claims that Aigul locked herself in the bathroom, and it was there that the events leading to her tragic death occurred.
However, several questions arise: why was he nearby on that particular day? Why, as her relatives claim, had there been threats made against her before? And why was Duyshon not detained for a thorough investigation of all circumstances?
Currently, there is information that he may attempt to leave the country and go to Russia.
We have a justified fear that the truth may remain undiscovered, and those responsible will not be held accountable.
At the moment, the case materials are under review at the Oktyabrsky District Internal Affairs Directorate, but the family has serious concerns that the investigation may not be complete and may not take into account all significant facts.
We do not want to jump to conclusions prematurely. We demand an objective, transparent, and independent investigation. We insist on answers to questions that cannot be ignored. Aigul's death should not be explained formally without establishing the truth. She deserves the truth, her name should be immortalized, and society has the right to know what really happened,” her sister wrote.
The Oktyabrsky District Police Department confirmed that they are investigating the information, the results of which will be reported later.
