In the maternity ward of the O. Kökkezoov General Practice Center in the Ak-Talinsky district, on December 31, 36-year-old Munara Sultanalieva gave birth to her fourth child.

According to doctor Maiрам Toktomambet kyzy, the condition of both the mother and the newborn is good.

Munara's husband, Adilet Sagynaliev, shared his joy about the birth of their daughter during the New Year celebrations and recounted how everything happened:

“On December 30, my wife said she was having stomach pains. I thought labor had started, and closer to noon, I took her to the hospital. That day everything was calm. I visited her 2-3 times on December 31. Doctor Aizada informed me that contractions were beginning. When I came back in the evening, the doctor said, ‘She’s not going to give birth right now; you can go home, we’ll call you.’ I left.

Later, around eight in the evening or shortly after, the doctor called and informed me that my wife had given birth, but she needed surgery and asked for my consent. I replied that if there was no other option, they could proceed with the surgery, and I immediately went to the hospital. My wife had already been taken to the operating room. The daughter was born with complications and was placed in a vacuum. I stayed in the hospital until about 2:30 AM. Then the doctors allowed me to see both my daughter and my wife,” he recounted.

“Choosing a name is, of course, always about goodness and well-being. Usually, you look to see that the name fits with the names of the other children. But this time we agreed in advance: if it’s a son, we’ll name him Aydar; if it’s a daughter, we’ll name her Mederina. Meder means ‘the one who gives strength, the supporter.’ Since a girl was born, we named her Mederina,” said A. Sagynaliev.

Adilet shared one of his personal stories.

“When I was still studying, one of my sisters was pregnant, and my grandmother wrote the name ‘Mederina’ in the calendar if a girl was born. But then a boy was born, and the name wasn’t given. This also played a role. Besides, children themselves give parents strength. You come home tired from work, and the children greet you, hug you — and all the bad things are forgotten. That’s why we wanted our daughter to be a source of strength and inspiration for us,” he said.

According to him, the older son and daughter welcomed their little sister well. The younger daughter is sometimes happy and sometimes worried: “Who will cuddle me? You won’t stop calling me жөжө (chick)?” She has already agreed with her mother: “You will sleep with your baby, and I will sleep with dad.” She feels that there is less attention for her now.

On the day of their daughter’s birth, the father called from the village and said, “Son, try to register the birth date as January 1, since your grandfather’s birthday is also on January 1.” I replied that it wouldn’t work — everything is registered immediately. My grandfather Sagynaly was indeed born on January 1.”

“Taking this opportunity, I want to express my immense gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the maternity and surgical wards of the Ak-Talinsky General Practice Center. On New Year’s Day, they didn’t go home but diligently performed their duties alongside my wife. Yesterday, the deputy akim of the district, Kanybek Esenaliev, came with gifts and inquired about her condition, and today the head of the region, Nurbek Satarov, also visited and congratulated us,” he shared.

Munara Sultanalieva was born in 1989 in the village of Baizak in the Jumgal district. She graduated from the philology faculty of Bishkek Humanities University. She began her career in Bishkek as a freelance journalist for one of the newspapers, where the couple met.

Subsequently, she worked for 8-9 years as a teacher at the “Tynchtyk” kindergarten in the village of Bayet, about 2 years at the “Baigönchök-Kelechegi” kindergarten in the village of Baigönchök, and then for about a year as the director of the three-hour “Maryam” kindergarten in the village of Kayyndy-Bulak. Currently, Munara works as the director of the “Cholpon” kindergarten in the village of Kayyndy-Bulak.

Before Mederina's birth, the family had one son and two daughters.
