According to the deputy chief physician of the Osh city maternity hospital, Aizhan Kalibekova, a resident of the Jalal-Abad region was admitted on December 6, 2025, at the 33rd week of pregnancy and underwent surgery (cesarean section) on January 2, 2026.
Currently, the condition of the triplets and their mother, Nazgul Zheentaeva, is assessed as good, and they are being prepared for discharge today or tomorrow. “Nazgul Zheentaeva was admitted to our maternity hospital on December 6, 2025, at the 33rd week of pregnancy. She was under the supervision of our doctors for a month, and on January 2, 2026, when the time was right, we performed the operation. Today their condition is stable. The triplet consists of three girls. The weights of the babies were 3 kg, 3 kg 40 grams, and 3 kg 360 grams,” Aizhan Kalibekova reported.
The mother of the triplets, Nazgul Zheentaeva, found out she was expecting three children at the 8th week of pregnancy. She added that she initially arrived at the Osh maternity hospital from a hospital in the Jalal-Abad region. “I found out that I would have triplets at the 8th week. I am from the village of Kanysh-Kiya in the Chatkal district of the Jalal-Abad region. At the end of October 2025, we came to the city of Manas. They did not accept us at the maternity hospital there, citing that the term was still too early. Here [at the maternity hospital in the city of Osh], we were received very well and provided with proper care. After staying here for more than a month, I gave birth on January 2. Now the daughters feel good. We named them Aliyma, Aisha, and Aizhan,” she shared.
39-year-old Zheentaeva named one of the girls after the mother of the chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev – Aliyma Tashieva. “We named her Aliyma in honor of Tashiev's mother. Aizhan was named after the gynecologist who delivered my babies. She turned out to be very prompt, precise in her work, and an energetic specialist,” the mother shared.
After the birth of the triplets, the Akimat of the Chatkal district presented the family with a certificate for 300,000 soms. The woman also appealed to the mayor of the city of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, expressing hope that they could provide an apartment for the future of the triplets.
In addition to the newborns, Nazgul Zheentaeva has three other children – two daughters and a son.
According to the deputy director of the Osh maternity hospital, Aizhan Kalibekova, this hospital is the only institution accepting pregnant women from the entire southern region of Kyrgyzstan. Last year, there were 12,468 births here, of which 240 were twins.
