A resident of the village of Poltavka, located in the Jayil District, stated that her brother attempted to kill their 75-year-old mother on the night of December 29, 2025. According to her, he tried to suffocate the woman with a pillow, and when she began to resist, he hit her several times.
This incident was recorded as a crime under Article 138 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, born in 1981, J.S., was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The court decided to arrest him for two months.
During the investigation, messages in WhatsApp were analyzed, where the detained expressed intentions to kill his mother.
