On December 29, a local resident, J. A., born in 1985, contacted the police in the Jayil district. She reported that her brother, J. S., born in 1981, attempted to kill their mother, J. M., born in 1950, on the night of December 28 to 29. According to the applicant, he tried to suffocate the woman with a pillow, and when she began to resist, he struck her several times on various parts of her body.
The fact of the incident was recorded, and a criminal case was initiated under Article 138 "Torture" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Furthermore, during the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect's correspondence with his wife on WhatsApp contained threats against their mother.
J. S. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The district court decided to impose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of two months.
All necessary forensic examinations have been appointed within the framework of the criminal case. The investigation is ongoing.
