According to the agency's information, the incident occurred on January 9, 2026, at around 16:30. The duty station received a report that an unknown individual had stolen a red "Volkswagen Golf-2" with the state number 08KG524 from the territory of the Western garages in the Jayil district and fled the scene.
In response to the report, all units were activated. During the operational search activities, employees of the Jayil District Internal Affairs Department and the traffic safety unit managed to apprehend the suspect on the spot — citizen A. A. B., born in 1988.
The detained individual was taken to the investigative service of the Jayil District Internal Affairs Department for further investigation and the application of procedural measures.
