In 2025, a case was recorded where a driver operated a vehicle with license plates belonging to another vehicle. This was reported by the press service of the Traffic Police Department of the Interior Ministry of the Chui Region, informing the correspondent of Turmush.

According to the information, on January 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM, on the 61st kilometer of the Bishkek – Osh highway, officers of the Traffic Police of the Jayil District stopped a yellow "Mercedes-Benz 711" for inspection. During the inspection, it was revealed that the driver was using a state number that belonged to a similar vehicle—a white "Mercedes-Benz 711"—and thus had been driving the car with someone else's plates for an entire year.

As a result, protocols were drawn up against the driver under Articles 449-1 (Use of a counterfeit state registration number of a vehicle) and 38 (Disqualification from operating a vehicle) of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, which resulted in a fine of 20,000 soms. Additionally, within the framework of the "Kooopsuz ülke" ("Safe Country") initiative, it was established that the driver had violated traffic rules 19 times, for which he was charged 25,500 soms in fines, which he also did not pay.

Thus, the total amount of fines imposed on the driver amounted to 45,500 soms. The vehicle was placed in a towing lot.
