According to the information, on January 3, 2026, at about 19:55, a 28-year-old man called the duty station of the Suzak District Internal Affairs Department and confessed to killing his wife, born in 1997, after a family conflict.
This information was recorded in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Suzak District Internal Affairs Department under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Murder"), and a criminal case was initiated.
“As part of this case, with the participation of the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, the Suzak District Internal Affairs Department, and the local prosecutor's office, an examination of the crime scene was conducted. A kitchen knife was seized as evidence, and the body of the deceased T. R. was sent for forensic examination,” the statement notes.
Investigative actions revealed that D. Y., born in 1990, who returned from Russia on January 2, 2026, during a quarrel with his wife T. R., first strangled her and then stabbed her several times in the chest area, which led to her death.
On January 4, 2026, the suspect D. Y. was arrested by a decision of the Suzak District Court,” the official statement says.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing.
