As a result of the court proceedings in the murder case of Aizat Jumanova, the court found her husband, Aibar Zhanbolat, guilty, as reported by a Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
The judge sentenced the accused to 14 years of imprisonment, which he will serve in a medium-security colony.
According to the court's decision, Aibar Zhanbolat was found guilty under part 1 of Article 99 of the Criminal Code. Additionally, the court partially satisfied the civil claim from the Jumanova family, awarding 20 million tenge for moral damages and 1 million 700 thousand tenge to cover legal expenses.
It is worth reminding that the tragedy occurred in the village of Balasaz, located in the Aksu district of the Zhetysu region. 32-year-old Aizat Jumanova became a victim of violence from her husband, who was accused of her death.
According to relatives' testimonies, a conflict arose between the spouses, during which Zhanbolat brutally beat Jumanova in front of their young daughter. The medical report documented serious injuries, including a closed traumatic brain injury, bruises, brain swelling, skull and limb fractures, as well as signs of dragging across a surface.
Aizat was taken to the Taldykorgan hospital on June 22, 2025, but doctors pronounced her dead just half an hour after hospitalization. Relatives are convinced that she died before arriving at the medical facility and that the signs of violence were concealed: her body was washed and changed.
The version presented by Aibar Zhanbolat was that his wife allegedly fell out of the window while attempting to take a selfie; however, relatives completely reject this explanation.
