In Orenburg, Russia, a 74-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan was detained for assaulting police officers at the airport, reports Tengrinews.kz.

According to court documents, the pensioner arrived in the country by car, heading to her daughter, after which she planned to continue her journey by air. During the inspection of her carry-on luggage, a 5-liter container of oil was discovered, which she attempted to bring through.

"The woman exhibited aggression after being informed of the transportation rules, resulting in two police officers being injured by her strikes," the court representatives noted.

During the court proceedings, the woman did not admit her guilt and showed no remorse. The court, considering her age, had previously postponed the hearing, proposing measures such as bail or house arrest.
"Nevertheless, the references provided from both her place of residence and the detention center where the pensioner was held indicated her unwillingness to adhere to established societal norms," the official statement noted.

Based on the collected information about the accused's personality and her intention to leave Russia, the court decided to place the Kazakhstani woman in custody for a period of 2 months.
