Turkey will continue its fight against terrorism within the country, Erdogan stated

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, commenting on recent actions against militants of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" in Yalova, confirmed the authorities' intention to continue the fight against terrorism both within the country and beyond its borders.

In his statement, Erdogan noted that the operation, during which six ISIS militants were eliminated, had tragic consequences: three police officers were killed. These events were commented on by Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

Erdogan expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and thanked the police officers for their heroism. "We pray for the mercy of the Almighty for our heroes who died today in Yalova, and we wish patience to their loved ones. We also pray for the swift recovery of the injured police officers. We will continue our resolute and uncompromising fight against the threats that endanger the peace and security of our people, both within the country and beyond its borders," he wrote on the social network X.
