A resident of the village of Suzak in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region, 28-year-old Takmina Rustamzhan kyzy, became a victim of her ex-husband.

According to relatives, four years have passed since their divorce. Takmina and her ex-husband have two children, aged 10 and 8. The brother of the deceased bitterly reports that he tried to intervene to save his sister, but unfortunately, he could not help her.

The couple, who married in 2015, initially lived peacefully, but soon their relationship began to deteriorate: they often quarreled, separated, and reconciled. Four years ago, the man initiated the divorce and was supposed to pay child support. Takmina rented an apartment in the district center, living with her older sister Sitoro.

According to relatives, on January 2 of this year, the ex-husband returned from Russia and came to see Takmina. The next day, he attacked her with a knife.

The deceased's sister reported that Takmina had warned her about the visit from her ex-husband and his threats. She suggested that her sister temporarily go to stay with relatives, but Takmina refused. The next day, January 3, 2026, the man came again, assuring that he loved Takmina and wanted to take her to Russia. However, Takmina replied that she would not go without the children and did not intend to reconcile with him. The ex-husband suggested leaving the children with his mother, but the woman objected, stating that her mother-in-law would not be able to care for them. She also noted that their life together was impossible both legally and according to religious norms.

As a result, a conflict arose between them. The sister testified that before her eyes, the man attempted to strangle Takmina twice. She intervened, trying to separate them. But during the third attempt at strangulation, Takmina fell, and the man pushed the sister away and attacked her again, dragging her into the room. The sister tried to help but could not stop him. She then ran outside for help, stopping a passing car. When they returned with people, they realized it was already too late. Relatives called an ambulance and the police. Takmina was lying in a pool of blood. The sister could not believe in her death until the last moment and hoped that she could be saved.

The sister also reported that the ex-husband had brought the knife in advance, leaving the children with his mother before committing the crime.

Takmina's mother, Mukadam Nuraliyeva, was working in Russia. On the day of the tragedy, she spoke with her daughter, who reported that her ex-husband was demanding to take her to Russia and was behaving aggressively. After that, the connection was lost. "Four years have passed since the divorce, and he has not paid child support. Even after the breakup, he continued to come and say that he wanted to live with her. In Russia, he married and divorced twice. My daughter did not get married for the sake of the children. That day she said he was demanding that she leave with him. I suggested coming to talk, but they quarreled, and the phone was disconnected. Later, I was informed that Takmina was in a coma, and when I left for [Kyrgyzstan], it turned out that she had already been killed. He must be punished. Only the children suffer. There are rumors that my daughter had another man. This is not true — she lived for her children," the mother said.

According to relatives, Takmina suffered 11 stab wounds.

As previously reported by the press service of the Jalal-Abad regional police department, on January 3, 2026, a call was received at the Suzak district police station from a man who confessed to murdering his wife. The murder occurred around 19:55 during a conflict.

This fact was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Suzak district police department under Article 122 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A criminal case has been initiated.
