
Berdiev, who is accused of committing fraud on a particularly large scale (Article 209, Part 4, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic), has been sentenced to two months of detention, which will expire on March 11.
Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that complaints had been received from his wife regarding incidents of domestic violence. These complaints have been registered and are under review in accordance with the law.
Recently, Bermet Ormonova, a woman who introduced herself as the ex-deputy's wife, released a video appeal to the head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev. In it, she spoke about regular instances of violence from her husband.
Ormonova, 60 years old and mother of five children, claims that her husband not only kicked her out of the house but also used violence against her and the children. She emphasized that she reached out to the public due to threats to the life and safety of her family and accused her husband of polygamy.
