The regional news outlet Turmush continues the column "Жеңеке" (Zheneke). In it, we share stories from the lives of young brides and experienced daughters-in-law.

The aim of the project is to remind about the importance of family values and to reveal the beauty and talents of married women. The heroine is 25-year-old Ainura Kanatbekova, a resident of the village of Toguz-Bulak in the Ton district, who is engaged in horseback riding and plays volleyball.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, she shared that she is originally from the village of Tört-Kül in the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region and was born in 2001. She got married and moved to the village of Toguz-Bulak in the Ton district.

"I am currently on maternity leave; I am the mother of one son and one daughter.

I have a secondary education—I graduated from 11 grades. I got married at 18.

I met my future husband at a market in the city of Novosibirsk (Russia), where we both worked in trade. He liked me because he knew how much I love horses—he had seen my photos and videos. My husband’s name is Nursultan Nasirdinov, he is 30 years old, and he is from the village of Toguz-Bulak in the Issyk-Kul region. He is a ulakchy.

He proposed to me in Novosibirsk—on the roof of a high-rise building. At first, we communicated as brother and sister after discovering we were from the same region, and then one day he asked for my hand in marriage.

Every day we spend together is filled with smiles. My husband has a good sense of humor; he has never hurt me. He always supports me. He doesn’t mind that I play volleyball and ride horses; on the contrary—if he sees a beautiful or purebred horse, he immediately says: 'Look at that great horse, are you going to ride it?' Even if the horse is spirited, he supports me and tells me not to be afraid," said A. Kanatbekova.
"There are no particular difficulties in life—we live peacefully. If you want to go to the village, we will go to the village; if you want to raise livestock, we will raise livestock. I think I say this because we returned from Russia, got married, and stayed to live in the village. A year later, my husband wanted to engage in animal husbandry and become a shepherd—I was not against it. We herded livestock together and even went to the jailoo, but we realized that we were not yet ready for the life of shepherds. Then we tried living in Bishkek for about a year—it didn’t work out either. Now we have settled and live in the village," she added.

According to her, there is a friendly volleyball team among daughters-in-law from seven villages in the Ton district. They gather and play every month.

A. Kanatbekova noted that she grew up riding horses from childhood. Her grandfather was a shepherd. She is very close to animals.

"During my school years, when there were celebrations at the jailoo, I participated in the game 'kız kuumay.' My older brothers taught me to ride even spirited horses from childhood. No matter what kind of horse it is—I am not afraid and know how to gallop. My love for horses is boundless. We specifically keep two or three purebred horses. My husband participates in the ulak game within the village.

In my free time, I love to spend time with the horses in the yard," she shared.
