In a remote village of the Ton district in the Issyk-Kul region, two women — a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law — are successfully running a business, providing for the residents of their village.

Akzholtoy Satybayeva, a local resident from the upper gorge of the Ton district, shared with a Turmush correspondent about her entrepreneurial activities in this remote area.
“We live in the village of Ala-Bash, which is located at the foot of the mountains and far from the district center. After discussing with my daughter-in-law Zhyldyz, we decided to start making bozo. I taught her this national drink using the methods passed down to me by my mother-in-law. Every day we prepare and sell over 30 liters of bozo. Later, we decided to try making ashlyanfu, and we succeeded in that as well. Now my daughter-in-law and I are working in our small kitchen,” she says.

“When the bozo is ready, we strain it and bottle it, and then we start preparing ashlyanfu and packaging it for sale. My daughter-in-law has already gotten used to our schedule. We successfully combine household chores, taking care of the grandchildren, and earning extra income. In our free time, we also raise 'Haybert' breed turkeys, fatten them up, and sell them. We strive to maintain cleanliness and offer our customers halal products.

My daughter-in-law shows initiative and is actively engaged in entrepreneurship without leaving home. Our joint efforts help to replenish the family budget and bring in a decent profit. Currently, we are meeting the needs of our village, and in the future, we plan to expand our activities to the entire district,” she adds.
