In the picturesque gorges of the Naryn region, located in the eponymous area, there is a pasture called Eki-Bala. This place attracts both locals and foreign tourists.

According to information received from a Turmush correspondent, the pasture is situated in the upper reaches of the village of Eki-Naryn, in the rural district of Ortok, on the way to the remote settlement of Oruk-Tam.

Eki-Bala is located between two scenic gorges, and nearby flows the river Small Naryn.

Local residents cannot precisely explain the origin of this name. However, they shared a version passed down by the elders. According to their stories, the pasture got its name after two children went missing here. The older generation recalls that two teenagers went to the pasture and got lost, unable to find their way back. In search of the children, the villagers encountered travelers and explained to them that they were heading to the pasture because of the missing "two children" ("eki bala").

Currently, there are service points organized at this pasture for tourists.
