In the Kadamjay district, in the rural municipality of Kyrgyz-Kyshtak, there is a sacred place called "Kalpa Ata."

This shrine is located in a mountainous area, approximately 15 km from the southern direction of the Osh-Batken-Razzakov highway, in a village of the same name. It is also referred to as "Köz Mazar."

Visitors suffering from eye ailments come here to pray. At the grave, one can see a black stone that, according to rumors, is not easy for everyone to move.

According to one legend, a man who had long dreamed of having children came to Kalpa Ata seeking help. Without asking any questions, the elder instructed him to bring a stone. Surprised, the pilgrim followed the instruction and returned with a cartload of stones. After that, Kalpa blessed him, wishing for a son. Soon, the man indeed had a boy, and he would have brought even ten carts of stones if he had known that his prayer would be heard.

There is another story about Kalpa Ata. It is said that the locals decided to test him by preparing pilaf and adding cat meat to it. When the elder came for the feast, he was offered to try the dish. At that moment, Kalpa Ata expelled the cat, which led to awkwardness among those present, and they apologized to him.

He was a well-known person with special gifts.
