A maternity hospital opened in Osh after major repairs
The official opening of the maternity ward at the Osh Interregional Combined Clinical Hospital took place after the completion of its major renovation.

According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Health, the maternity hospital was built in 1968, and since then, no major work had been carried out; only cosmetic updates were made from time to time. The major renovation work began in June 2025.

The renovation affected various departments, including intensive care, pathology of pregnant women, mother and child joint accommodation, neonatal intensive care, maternity and reception departments, as well as operating rooms and the clinical laboratory department.

A centralized oxygen station was installed in the updated hospital, new operating rooms were added, and more comfortable conditions were created for patients in the wards.

The building's engineering systems were also modernized — sewage, water supply, heating, and electricity were updated, and roofing and facade repairs were carried out. In addition, a waiting room for relatives and companions of patients was organized.

As part of sponsorship investments amounting to 3.8 million soms, an elevator was installed for the convenience of expectant women.

The total amount allocated for the major renovation was 87 million soms, provided by the Ministry of Health and the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund.
Every year, the maternity ward of the Osh Interregional Clinical Hospital receives 9-10 thousand newborns and provides medical assistance to approximately 20 thousand pregnant women.

This medical organization also serves as a training and methodological center for obstetricians-gynecologists.
