Who will receive the one-time payment 'Bala Bereke', explained by the Ministry of Labor

As of January 1, 2026, the president's decree on the payment of "Bala Bereke" has come into effect. Adele Joomartova, the chief specialist of the state benefits department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, gave an interview to the Kabar agency, where she answered key questions about this program and explained its conditions.

Who can expect to receive the 'Bala Bereke' payment?

This one-time financial assistance is intended for mothers of multiple children who live in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas of the country. Under the program, mothers of multiple children can receive payments upon the birth of their fourth and subsequent children.

What is required to receive the payment?

The main condition for receiving the "Bala Bereke" payment is permanent residence in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas for at least two years prior to submitting the application.

“The payment is provided after the child reaches one year of age. For example, if a mother gives birth to her fourth child this year, she will be able to apply for the payment when the child turns one year old. The application for the payment must be submitted starting from January 1, 2027,” the specialist clarified.

It is also important to remember that the application must be submitted within six months after the child turns one year old. If this period is missed, the application will not be accepted, and the payment will not be made. Therefore, it is critically important to submit the documents before the child reaches one and a half years old. The funds will be transferred to the applicant's bank account,” Joomartova added.

What documents are needed to apply?

According to Adele Joomartova, preliminary estimates suggest that starting January 1, 2027, about 11,000 children will be able to receive the one-time "Bala Bereke" payment.

How is the payment calculated for the birth of twins?

If a family already has three children and then twins are born, they will be considered the fourth and fifth children. In this case, the payment will be:

Thus, the total amount of the payment will be 700,000 soms. The same principle applies in the case of triplets.
