As noted by Adele Zhoomartova, the chief specialist of the state benefits department, starting in 2026, a one-time benefit called "Bala bereke" will be introduced for the fourth and subsequent children born from January 1, who live in high-altitude and remote areas. However, payments will begin only in 2027, when the children turn one year old.
The amounts of the "Bala bereke" benefit are as follows:
- 100,000 soms for the 4th child;
- 600,000 soms for the 5th child;
- 800,000 soms for the 6th child;
- 1 million soms for the 7th child;
- 1.2 million soms for the 8th child;
- 1.5 million soms for the 9th child;
- 2 million soms for the 10th and subsequent children.
According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Labor, 11,000 newborns are expected in high-altitude areas in 2026.Additionally, at the beginning of 2024, the monthly benefit "Biyik tooluu aiymaktyn zhashoocularyna komok" ("Assistance to Residents of High-Altitude Areas") will also begin for families with children under three years old living in hard-to-reach and remote areas. The benefit amount will be 3,000 soms for each child under three years old.
For example, if a family has three children, and the youngest is 2.5 years old, they will be able to receive the benefit for six months at 3,000 soms per month. Payments for January will be made in February. It is important that the children live with their parents.
Zhoomartova also reported that payments for several other benefits continue:
- "Uy-bologo komok" - for low-income families with children under 16 years old, the amount is 1,200 soms, taking into account the coefficient for high-altitude areas (currently, 45,000 families or 163,000 children receive this benefit);
- "Balaga suyunchu" - a one-time payment of 4,000 soms upon the birth of a child;
- social assistance for citizens without pension rights, ranging from 2,000 to 8,000 soms;
- benefit for orphaned children - 6,000 soms.
