The Cabinet banned price increases for water, electricity, and heating in 2026
At a recent government meeting, a decision was made prohibiting ministers, heads of departments, and governors from raising prices for state services, including water supply, electricity supply, and heating, throughout 2026.
The Energy Regulation Committee had previously planned to increase heating tariffs by 85 percent in 2024. However, to avoid further inflation growth, it was decided to temporarily freeze price increases until 2025, taking into account the inflation rate in the country.
Despite earlier announced plans to raise prices for these services in 2026, the government has imposed a ban on increasing tariffs for electricity and heating.
