The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund has announced new changes in legislation regarding the rates of insurance contributions for state social insurance in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the amendments made to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic dated October 29, 2025, No. 243, members and heads of peasant (farm) households are now required to obtain a mandatory health insurance (MHI) policy.
Previously, these individuals had the status of insured persons in the mandatory health insurance system and could receive medical assistance under the State Guarantee Program on a free or preferential basis.
Now, access to medical services in the MHI system is only possible with a valid MHI policy or upon payment of insurance contributions.
The MHI Fund strongly recommends that farmers and their household members take timely measures to obtain a mandatory health insurance policy.
